FIRE SAFETY AND
PREVENTION
It is the belief of the Ledbetter Fire
Department, that “PREVENTION” is one of the greatest tools to
have. If we are successful in educating the community in how
even the smallest actions can and do prevent fires, then we have
accomplished a great deal of our mission. The following are some
tips you can do at home that will help us, help you:

Teach your
children NEVER play with matches or lighters.
·
Don’t burn
anything before 6:00 p.m.
·
NEVER burn tires.
·
Do be careful
when burning and always have a water source available and near
by.
·
Wet the area
around where you will be burning.
·
Be aware of
weather conditions : dry, windy, etc.
·
NEVER throw
gasoline onto a fire.
·
Keep children
away from burning area.
·
Be aware of your
surroundings : homes, vehicles, businesses, etc.
